Diploma in Pharmacy program is premised to contribute to developing a robust pharmaceutical workforce required to deliver quality pharmaceutical care services in Zambia, the region and the world. It is a 3-year full-time diploma course designed to prepare candidates to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in hospitals, community pharmacies, and other pharmaceutical-related fields.

Diploma in Pharmacy program at Texila is designed to ensure graduates attain competence in the core behavioral attributes and role descriptors of a pharmacy technologist as outlined by the Health Professions’ Council of Zambia (HPCZ) competency standards (HPCZ, 2018) and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) standards (ASHP, 2015), respectively.

Eligibility:
Grade 12 or GCE with Credits or better, four of which must be English, Mathematics, Physics / Chemistry / Science and Biology / Agricultural science

Selection Factors

Syudents applying for Diploma in Pharmacy at Texila American University Zambia are selected on the basis of their academic, personal and extracurricular abilities. Each student will be assessed based on the educational background, age, and intended course of study. Additionally, students must have the intellectual, physical and emotional capacities to meet the requirements of a successful career in nursing.
